
At a gala finale on Saturday, May 31, in Hyderabad, Miss Thailand Opal Suchata Chuangsri was named Miss World 2025. The current Miss World, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, who won Miss World 2024 in Mumbai, presented the esteemed crown. Of the four previous continental winners Miss Ethiopia Hasset Dereje, Miss Poland Maja Klajda, and Miss Martiniqu Aurélie Joachim Miss Thailand Opal Suchata Chuangsri was selected. The event occurred at the Hitex Exhibition Centre and drew thousands of attendees.
Bollywood celebrities Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter gave captivating live performances at the glitzy event, which was hosted by former Miss World Stephanie del Valle (2016) and well-known Indian broadcaster Sachiin Kumbhar.
There were 40 quarterfinalists after the competitors were reduced to ten semifinalists from each of the continents: Asia & Oceania, Africa, Europe, and the Americas & Caribbean.
India’s position on the international scene was further cemented when the 72nd edition was hosted in Hyderabad for the first time. With 108 competitors from all over the world participating in various purpose-driven activities and immersive experiences, the event marked the end of a month-long celebration of beauty, purpose, and cross-cultural exchange.
