As part of an integrated operational plan to handle the expected increase in travel during the peak summer season, Sharjah Airport is expected to handle almost 3 million passengers between July and August 2026, with about 19,000 flight operations.
The airport has put in place a thorough operating plan in close collaboration with its strategic partners with the goal of guaranteeing smooth passenger flow and upholding the highest standards of security and safety. In order to sustain operational efficiency, the plan also ensures that all operational teams and support services are fully prepared, supported by performance monitoring.
Sharjah Airport has improved coordination throughout the whole operational ecosystem as part of these initiatives, and all teams and support services are ready to manage the anticipated rise in passenger loads. To guarantee that operations are always smooth, ongoing assessment is in place.Passengers are urged to check their flight information with their individual airlines and arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure in order to ensure a hassle-free travel experience.
