Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and UAE Minister of Defence, was welcomed by Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, at Al Baraka Palace in Muscat on Monday.  Sheikh Hamdan is now heading a high-level group on an official visit to Oman. As he welcomed Sheikh Hamdan and his party, Sultan Haitham expressed his profound gratitude for the close ties between the two countries and their respective populations.

Sheikh Hamdan greeted Sultan Haitham on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. They also sent their best wishes for Oman’s continued development and prosperity.

As the summit demonstrated, bilateral relations are gaining impetus, with their roots in strong historical and brotherly connections. Discussions also centred on enhancing collaboration across essential sectors, especially in economics, commerce, tourism, culture, and knowledge, to promote complete growth in both nations. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that the visit serves to demonstrate the depth and strength of Emirati-Omani relations and that it had been very gratifying on many levels.
