On Tuesday morning, the No. 75052 China-Europe goods train left Jiaozhou Station in Qingdao, Shandong Province, East China. The departure is a major milestone, according to China Railway Group Co., as there have already been more than 110,000 goods trains between China and Europe, and the total value of the products transported has surpassed $450 billion.

This accomplishment highlights the growing importance of the goods train service in fostering commercial and economic exchanges between China and Europe, according to a report by Global Times. According to observers, it also demonstrates the robustness and dependability of Chinese supply systems. Over the past few years, the goods train network has grown significantly. Currently, the network connects 229 cities across 26 European nations and 128 cities in China.

The rail network’s daily processing capacity has grown to 184 trips thanks to improvements at five significant Chinese border ports and the opening of Tongjiang North Railway Port in Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China. Digitisation and reduced procedures have transformed the efficiency of goods operations. Thanks to digital technologies like the 95306 “digital port” and expedited customs procedure, the clearance period is reduced to only a few minutes.

Establishing 14 China-Europe freight train collection centres in various Chinese provinces has sped up the development of an effective transportation network.
