The UAE has taken a major step in reaffirming its commitment to international law enforcement with the arrest of two individuals wanted by Interpol for major fraud cases. The operation was carried out by the Sharjah Police General Command’s Criminal Investigation Department in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.

One suspect was sought by Uzbek authorities, while the other was wanted by Nepalese authorities. Both were subjects of Interpol Red Notices, which allow for the provisional arrest of fugitives pending extradition. Officials confirmed that the arrests were conducted efficiently and in compliance with international policing standards. The extradition process, completed under UAE legal and judicial frameworks, was finalized following an order from the Minister of Justice.

Authorities stressed that the success of this operation demonstrates the UAE’s determination to prevent fugitives from finding safe havens and its active role in strengthening global security cooperation. By working closely with Interpol and the judicial authorities of Uzbekistan and Nepal, the UAE reinforced its commitment to combating fraud crimes, financial offenses, and cross-border criminal activities. Officials emphasized that the country will continue to collaborate with international partners to pursue fugitives, safeguard financial systems, and support global stability.
