We recently had the privilege of having an insightful conversation with Iseeb Rehman, Global CEO of Sherwoods International Property. With over three decades of experience in the real estate industry, Iseeb is an expert when it comes to real estate valuation, leasing, facilitating real estate funding, and acquisitions. Apart from his unparalleled services in the real estate landscape, Iseeb is passionate about the aviation industry and has emerged as an accomplished leader in the field. We started the interview by asking, “What motivated you to take on your current role, and how has it shaped your career?”

From the outset, I was driven to build an organization that would stand the test of time, one that not only serves its clients with excellence but also leaves a lasting and meaningful impact on the real estate sector. The experience has strengthened my leadership skills, enhanced my ability to navigate challenges, and reinforced my focus on delivering value across the board.”

“One of the most significant risks I took was relocating from London to Dubai—stepping out of my comfort zone into a completely new environment, market, and culture. It was a bold move, both personally and professionally. What I took away from this experience is that fortune favors the prepared. While risk and reward often go hand in hand, the real differentiator is preparation. By thoroughly understanding the landscape before making such a move, you can take calculated risks, reducing the element of uncertainty and increasing the chance of success,” he explained.

Investing in people and helping them unlock their potential is something I hold close to my heart,” Iseeb added.

“One of the biggest challenges today is human capital—specifically, ensuring our teams keep pace with rapidly evolving technology. The key lies in fostering a culture of continuous learning. We’ve had to motivate individuals to upskill, stay curious, and embrace change. Supporting their growth while encouraging adaptability has been crucial in navigating this period.” Iseeb replied.

We further asked, “What do you believe is the most important quality for a leader in today’s world?”
He responded, “Modern leadership demands empathy, fairness, and accountability. A leader should treat everyone with dignity and foster an environment where people feel respected and motivated to succeed. When mistakes happen, it’s important to focus on learning and improvement rather than blame. By offering constructive feedback, identifying the root cause of an issue, and empowering individuals to take ownership and resolve it, leaders can foster a culture of growth, innovation, and success.”

We lastly asked, “If you could achieve one major goal for your company in the next year, what would it be?”
“Our goal for the year ahead is clear: to establish ourselves among the top 10 real estate firms in the region. Achieving this will require a team that works cohesively, consistently, and with a shared commitment to excellence—across all levels and departments. Alongside this, we are focused on developing a dedicated private client and family office division, providing bespoke advisory services that go beyond conventional real estate. This dual approach to scaling our operations while providing personalized, high-value solutions will differentiate us in an increasingly competitive market.” Iseeb added.
