Blaise Simon shared, “My journey into digital marketing began with a passion for technology and creative problem-solving. With an impressive two-decade stint in the UAE & India, I directed marketing initiatives for various leading multinational companies. My leadership extended to collaborations with esteemed brands in the UAE, such as Dell Middle East, Asus Middle East, Mentos (SA), G2000 (Fashion), Falcon Aviation (Abu Dhabi), and Glade (Middle East), overseeing landmark events like Arab Health, GITEX, and prominent Mall & Airport Branding activities.”

He added, “During my tenure in Mumbai, India, I flourished within renowned agencies including Indigo Consulting (Leo Burnett), Isobar (Dentsu Aegis Network), and Hungama Digital Services (JWT Group). There, I provided comprehensive 360-degree marketing solutions across web, social, search, mobile apps, and VR technologies to a diverse clientele. The turning point came when I founded Sky Interactive, a full-service agency that combines technology, creativity, and strategy to help e-commerce businesses grow. I wanted to create a company that wasn’t just about delivering services, but about building lasting relationships and providing real value to clients.”

As a business leader, one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is navigating rapid changes in the digital landscape, especially in areas like e-commerce, marketing, and technology. The constant evolution of platforms, algorithms, and consumer behavior requires staying ahead of trends and adapting strategies on the fly. To overcome this, I’ve made continuous learning a core value at my company, Sky Interactive. We invest in training, attend industry conferences, and stay connected with thought leaders to ensure we are always at the cutting edge.

Another challenge has been managing client expectations in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Clients often want immediate outcomes, but sustainable success takes time. To address this, I focus on clear communication, setting realistic goals, and emphasizing transparency throughout the process. By consistently delivering on our promises and educating clients on the strategic importance of patience and data-driven decision-making, we’ve built strong, long-term partnerships.

Lastly, as the leader of a growing team, balancing the operational demands of the business with nurturing a positive company culture has been crucial. In my business, Sky Interactive, we see AI as a game-changer for both automation and creativity. It helps us analyze vast amounts of customer data to generate insights that drive better-targeted marketing strategies and optimize ad campaigns in real-time.

One of the most significant impacts of AI is customer personalization. With AI-powered tools, we can segment audiences with precision, tailoring content and offers based on individual behaviors and preferences. Addressing the beginners, we asked, “What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or leaders looking to make an impact in your industry?”

My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders in eCommerce and Digital Marketing is to embrace adaptability, creativity, and uphold values. Adaptability is crucial in this ever-changing industry. Continuous learning and flexibility in strategies are key to success. Stay ahead by investing in education, attending events, and embracing new technologies like AI and data analytics. Moreover, prioritize creativity and innovation to stand out in the crowded digital marketing landscape. Bold and unique ideas often have the biggest impact, so don’t hesitate to experiment with new approaches. At Sky Interactive, unconventional ideas have proven to be impactful.

Additionally, focus on relationships and authenticity. In an increasingly automated industry, human connection remains incredibly important. Build genuine relationships with your clients, partners, and customers. Be transparent about your process, and deliver value consistently. Authenticity builds trust, which leads to long-term success. Finally, have a clear vision and stay resilient. Entrepreneurship comes with challenges, from managing client expectations to dealing with setbacks. It’s essential to have a clear vision of your goals and remain resilient when things get tough. We ended the interview by asking, “How do you maintain a work-life balance while managing a business?”

Blaise Simon concluded, “Maintaining work-life balance while managing a business can be challenging, but it’s essential for long-term success and well-being. I’ve found that it’s less about strict separation between work and personal life, and more about setting boundaries, being intentional with time, and prioritizing self-care.

One of the most important strategies I use is time management and delegation. As a business leader, there’s always a long list of tasks demanding attention, but not everything needs to be done personally. I make it a point to delegate tasks to my team at Sky Interactive, empowering them to take ownership of projects. This allows me to focus on high-level strategy while freeing up time for personal priorities.

To achieve balance, I prioritize a structured schedule, setting clear boundaries between work, family, and personal development. I reserve evenings and weekends for family time and block off hours for exercise, hobbies, and self-care. Technology-wise, I limit after-hours emails and notifications to create digital ‘off’ times. Mindfulness practices like meditation and spending time with loved ones help me stay focused and resilient. Balance isn’t about perfection; it’s about regular self-check-ins, adjustments, and ensuring both business and personal life thrive together.”
