In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, led the Eid Al-Adha prayer on Wednesday at Sharjah Mosque.
Senior officials, department chairs, and several Sheikhs joined Their Highnesses in prayer. In his Eid sermon, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mansour discussed the attributes of monotheism with which Allah sent His prophets, emphasizing that Islam is based on commitment to the teachings and direction of Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, as well as sincerity and love to Allah.
He stated that piety and obedience to Allah lead to righteousness of the heart and highlighted the fundamentals of the right path, which are based on moderation and balance and free from extremism and carelessness. He also discussed the Day of Sacrifice as one of the most important days in Islam and the benefits of adhering to the practice of making sacrificial offerings.
