
Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), and Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce & Industry, co-chaired the latest meeting of the India-UAE High Level Joint Task Force on Investments, held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The session brought together senior government officials, investment bodies, and business leaders from both nations. The UAE delegation included Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber and UAE Chambers; Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, UAE Ambassador to India; and Younis Haji Al Khouri, Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Finance.
On the Indian side, the delegation was led by Ambassador Sunjay Sudhir alongside senior representatives from key government departments and organizations. These included the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Commerce, Department of Economic Affairs, Department of Revenue, Reserve Bank of India, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Department of Space, and Invest India.
Established in 2013, the Joint Task Force has served as a vital platform for strengthening economic ties between India and the UAE. Over the years, it has facilitated discussions on new investment opportunities, resolved challenges faced by investors, and advanced mutually beneficial solutions to support bilateral trade and economic growth.
