Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, met with Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, in Mumbai on Wednesday. The meeting, which was part of His Highness’s official visit to India, reflected the two countries’ attempts to deepen their strategic economic alliance.
The talks centered on expanding collaboration in various areas that form the foundation of the India-UAE economic partnership, such as manufacturing, commerce, energy, investment, logistics, technology, and healthcare.
“India and the UAE share a bold vision for the future, in addition to strong economic ties,” Sheikh Hamdan stated. Trust, creativity, and a shared dedication to creating robust, forward-thinking economies that promote prosperity and improve the well-being of the two nations’ citizens form the foundation of our collaboration. In addition to opening up new avenues for development, innovation, and excellence, we are forging a unique model of bilateral cooperation as we strengthen our partnership in several crucial areas.
The discussions focused on continuing the momentum created by the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), two frameworks that have established the groundwork for a more transparent, safe, and investment-friendly economic relationship.
