
The UAE’s Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wrapped up his first formal visit to India, where he met with top Indian officials to discuss ways to strengthen ties and increase bilateral cooperation in critical strategic areas.
Sheikh Hamdan added that the two countries’ and their peoples’ ties are excellent and are only getting stronger because of their shared resolve to increase collaboration in key areas to further their sustainable development objectives. Sheikh Hamdan met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the visit and greeted him on behalf of the UAE government.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized India’s enormous population and rich cultural legacy, pointing out that trade has long been a link between the two countries. He claimed that both nations are now collaborating across critical industries and using innovation and technology to create a better future.
Sheikh Hamdan observed the signing of eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the visit to improve cooperation in important areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, higher education, maritime services, logistics, and private sector involvement.
