The UAE’s first Green Innovation District, a historic project that will reinvent industrial development by seamlessly fusing economic growth with environmental sustainability and social responsibility, was launched by Expo City Dubai in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism.

As outlined in the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy, Centennial 2071 Plan, and National Investment Strategy 2031, the new Green Innovation District, established in partnership with four strategic partners, will act as a potent catalyst for sustainable industrial growth, drawing in international companies and rapidly advancing the country’s aspirational economic diversification and climate action goals.

With its ready-built sustainable infrastructure, award-winning world-class free zone, commitment to net zero by 2050, and legacy of driving sustainable, innovative progress, Expo City Dubai is regarded as the perfect location for the Green Innovation District, supporting eco-conscious businesses, particularly those dedicated to clean energy, circular economy, and green tech, to decarbonize and grow. Its advantageous location on a vital logistics route that links Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport, halfway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, emphasises this and maximises international trade.
