CAR Airspace Part Uspace is the first national law in the area for certifying air navigation service providers for unmanned aircraft, adopted by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). This rule establishes a thorough framework for businesses offering drone air navigation services, guaranteeing that they adhere to stringent operational and safety standards.
The new rule, which was created with a comprehensive approach, addresses all of the important facets of certifying drone air navigation service providers, such as contracting, training, quality assurance, safety, prospective planning, auditing, and certification.
The objective is to smoothly incorporate drone operations into the current aviation ecosystem through authorized organizations that offer specialized air navigation services for drones, guaranteeing a unified, effective, and secure airspace.
This regulation is not just about compliance; it is a testament to our commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation in aviation,” said GCAA Director-General Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, underscoring the importance of this milestone.
This proactive regulatory framework will serve as a model for seamless drone-commercial aviation integration, further solidifying the UAE’s position as a regional leader in the aviation industry,” he said, adding that drone activities are expected to quadruple soon.
