The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and the Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, stated that the trade sector remains a major contributor to the emirate’s economic development and international clout.

“In an increasingly competitive global market, the sector is playing a vital role in Dubai’s growth as a global commercial hub, driving diversification, innovation and economic resilience,” according to him. Trade is the lifeblood of Dubai’s economy and a crucial pillar of its growth as a leading global city,” said Sheikh Hamdan.

Through decades of cooperation with the world business community, we have been able to turn obstacles into opportunities and improve Dubai’s standing on the map of international trade.”

During a discussion with a group of investors, dealers, and businessmen on Wednesday at Dubai’s Za’abeel Majlis, Sheikh Hamdan made these statements.

As the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has made trade a major driver of sustainable growth, and this is reflected in the trade sector’s strong performance.

This ambition is mirrored in the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to add 400 cities as important trading partners and double Dubai’s international commerce to Dhs25.6 trillion by 2033.
