We recently had the privilege of interviewing Dr. Moez Gharbi, Founder and CEO of ChatPM, a platform offering AI-driven chat solutions tailored for project management. With over 25 years of experience in the field, he has held several key positions in the tech landscape, laying the groundwork for founding ChatPM.

We started the interview by asking, “How did your professional journey begin, and what key moments shaped where you are currently?”
Dr. Gharbi shared, “My professional journey began when I immigrated to Canada in 2000, a pivotal moment that opened new opportunities for me during the dot-com boom. This era was marked by rapid technological advancements and an entrepreneurial spirit that inspired many, including myself. I was driven by a desire to understand the evolving tech landscape, which led me to pursue further education.
A significant turning point was completing an Executive Program in General Management at MIT, followed by an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management & Leadership, and a focus on Strategy & Innovation, Technology, Operations & Value Chain Management.
Additionally, I earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business, all at MIT. My Doctorate Degree in Project and Programme Management from SKEMA Business School also helped me provide a theoretical and practical framework on how to reduce complexity and maximize outcomes through automation and digital transformation for next-generation project management, particularly for mega-projects. These educational experiences equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of the tech industry and laid the groundwork for founding ChatPM.”

“One of the major challenges I’ve faced as a leader is keeping pace with the rapid advancements in technology while ensuring our solutions remain relevant and innovative. The AI landscape is constantly evolving, and staying ahead requires agility and a commitment to continuous learning.
To overcome these challenges, I foster a culture of innovation within ChatPM, encouraging my team to explore new ideas and embrace change. We perform multiple Proof of Concept before expanding the final solution, and we do many iterations and testing to ensure that our products meet the highest standards. By promoting collaboration and open communication, we can quickly adapt to challenges and seize new opportunities,” Dr. Gharbi commented.

Dr. Gharbi mentioned, “AI is fundamentally transforming the project management sector. “For aspiring entrepreneurs, my advice is to remain curious and persistent. The journey of entrepreneurship is filled with ups and downs, but each challenge presents an opportunity for growth. Focus on identifying real problems and developing solutions that address them effectively.
Networking is also crucial; surround yourself with mentors and like-minded individuals who can provide guidance and support. Continuous learning is vital, so invest in yourself through education and professional development. Finally, always prioritize the impact of your work — aim to create solutions that not only drive business success but also contribute positively to society,” Dr. Gharbi shared.
