The Highness of Using the X platform, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who also rules Dubai, stated: “We were happy to host 8,000 Arab media professionals in the UAE for the 23rd Arab Media Summit.

“We continue to advocate for a developmental Arab media that creates hope and not despair, unites and not divides, builds and does not destroy, and fights ignorance, backwardness, and intellectual and cultural illness to create a more beautiful future for young Arab generations who have the self-confidence to shape their own growth and future,” he continued.

A clear vision for the media industry’s future, confirmation of its beneficial role in fostering an Arab renaissance, and mobilisation of efforts to mould a future of advancement and prosperity for the region are the summit’s objectives. With almost 8,000 professionals in attendance, the Summit is the region’s premier forum for media thought leadership, policy discussions, and story development.

There is also an Arab Media Award during the Summit. The Award still honours strong editorial standards and professional achievement in a rapidly changing media environment. The Award is still the most important media award platform in the Arab world, organised by the Dubai Press Club, and it honours creative and influential journalism that adapts to the changing demands of the area. More than 2,900 applications were received from all throughout the Arab world for this year’s edition.
