With funding from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), Ferjan Dubai, in conjunction with the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia) and the UAE Food Bank, has launched the third edition of “Al Freej Fridge” humanitarian community initiative. The program seeks to deliver 2 million bottles of cold water, juices and frozen snacks to workers around Dubai to assist ease the consequences of summer heat, including dehydration and heat stress, while emphasizing the values of solidarity, giving and compassion.
According to Jamal Al Shuwaibi, Director of Operations at “Freej Dubai,” the campaign, which runs until September 3, is aimed at about one million workers, including road workers, delivery drivers, construction workers, cleaners, and agricultural laborers during the height of summer. The campaign promotes ideals of solidarity and mutual assistance, symbolizes the deeply ingrained culture of giving within the UAE community, and expresses profound gratitude to those who diligently carry out their tasks under all circumstances.

With the help of volunteers from the local community, “Freej Dubai” uses refrigerated vehicles that travel throughout the Emirate to provide water, cold beverages, and ice cream to employees and delivery drivers working in outdoor areas during the summer.
