
On Wednesday, at Dubai International Airport’s Concourse C, the most recent Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw revealed a Bahraini person as the new dollar millionaire.
On May 25, 2025, Mohamed Tareq Mohamed Akbar, a Bahraini native living in Manama, Bahrain, won $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire Series 504 with ticket number 3897, which he bought online.
Akbar is now unreachable, but he will be thrilled to hear of his newfound wealth. He is the fourth Bahraini native to win US$1 million in the Millennium Millionaire contest since 1999.
Ramesh Cidambi, the managing director of Dubai Duty Free, Sinead El Sibai, and Mona Al Ali, the senior vice president of marketing, handled the draw on Wednesday. Michael Schmidt, SVP of Human Resources; Zayed Al Shebli, SVP of Retail; Mansoor Al Khaja, VP of Finance; Mohamad Al Khaja, VP of Retail Support; Thankachan Varghese, Senior Manager of Retail Support; Salim Ibrahim, Senior Manager of Retail Sales; Nasser Al Jasmi, Senior Manager of the Exchange Bureau; Khalid Saleh, Senior Manager of Loss Prevention & Corporate Security; and Mohsen Saleh Rashed, Dubai Police’s first warrant officer.
On Wednesday, Dubai Duty Free officials hold the Finest Surprise draw at Dubai International Airport’s Concourse C. After the Millennium Millionaire draw, two luxury automobiles and motorcycles were up for grabs in the Finest Surprise draw.
