The UAE’s Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al Dahak, has returned from a high-level trip to China. With an emphasis on important issues of food security, sustainable agriculture, and climate change, the visit sought to enhance the two countries’ strategic alliance further.

“The historical ties between the UAE and China have evolved beyond traditional relations into a comprehensive and interconnected strategic partnership,” Dr. Al Dahak said, highlighting the special character of the UAE-China relationship.

In addition to serving the interests of both countries, this partnership is a singular example of effective collaboration across a range of initiatives and areas, promoting stability and sustainable development both locally and internationally.

As a vital entry point to the Middle East and African markets, the UAE is an active partner for the People’s Republic of China,” she continued. In terms of climate and sustainable agriculture, bilateral relations have been crucial, with both nations dedicated to resolving these concerns. Since the National Food Security Strategy 2051 is a key component of the UAE’s national priorities, we aim to further these links and take advantage of China’s cutting-edge agricultural innovation capabilities in order to integrate them with our aspirational agricultural objectives in the UAE.
