Dubai is Commended for Creating Autism-friendly Public Beaches

The International Board of Certification and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has certified Dubai Municipality’s public beaches as Certified Autism Centres (CACs), marking an unprecedented worldwide milestone.

When Dubai Municipality participated in the AccessAbilities Expo 2024, which strives to empower people with determination and meet their requirements for a decent existence, this declaration was made.

This accomplishment, which is the first of its type in the region and the world, supports the leadership’s goal of making Dubai the greatest city in the world to visit and live in by confirming that the public beaches there have the amenities and characteristics needed to be autism-friendly.

Dubai Municipality’s commitment to offering all-encompassing services and experiences that satisfy the goals of every member of the community, including those with autism, is reflected in this certification. This international accomplishment highlights the municipality’s continuous efforts to guarantee a secure and cohesive setting so that everyone may enjoy Dubai’s public beaches and essential amenities.

“The Municipality has always been eager to launch innovative initiatives that meet the aspirations and needs of different segments of society,” stated Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, in reference to this accomplishment.
