By obtaining the ISO 37000:2021 worldwide accreditation for organisational governance, the Sharjah Police General Headquarters has achieved a new milestone and further cemented its reputation for excellence and leadership. This accomplishment demonstrates its commitment to implementing international best practices and standards in governance while also encouraging responsibility, openness, and sustainability within its organisational framework.

The dedication to creating a unified governance framework and establishing good management practices across all of its sectors and operational procedures is what led to this success. These initiatives support the organization’s sustainable performance, increase the effectiveness of decision-making, define roles and duties, and strengthen oversight and monitoring systems. Securing this international certification is a critical step in the organization’s institutional development, according to Brigadier Dr. Sameh Al Halyan, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Leadership Department.

It demonstrates Sharjah Police’s commitment to implementing international best practices and standards and fortifying a corporate governance structure based on effectiveness, accountability, and openness. This method makes it easier to make decisions, boosts performance quality and results sustainability, helps achieve strategic goals, and increases the organization’s flexibility to adjust to demands and changes in the future. He added that Sharjah Police are constantly improving their institutional systems to increase the effectiveness of risk and resource management while facilitating the incorporation of contemporary technology and artificial intelligence into frameworks for responsible and efficient administration. The goal of these initiatives is to create an operating system that is more effective, flexible, and sustainable in line with the goals of the UAE and the Emirate of Sharjah.
