Aster Pharmacy’s distribution center in Dubai Industrial City, one of the biggest pharmaceutical warehouses in the area, was visited by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan stated during the visit that the private sector is crucial to the creation of a dependable and effective healthcare system. In order to provide high-quality services that satisfy the community’s needs for medications and medical supplies, he emphasised the significance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Dr Azad Moopen, the founder and chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, and Alisha Moopen, the managing director and group CEO, gave Sheikh Hamdan a briefing on the 145,000-square-foot facility’s operations and the services it offers throughout the UAE and the GCC via Aster’s network. Sheikh Hamdan praised the facility’s creative strategy, which increases productivity and makes it possible to distribute medications more quickly and accurately. He reaffirmed his support for Aster’s ongoing expansion and its initiatives to implement cutting-edge solutions that improve its offerings and advance the UAE’s healthcare system.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; Malek Al Malek, Chairman of TECOM Group; and Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, joined Sheikh Hamdan. Through Aster’s UAE network of 350 pharmacies, 120 medical clinics, and 15 hospitals, the facility processes almost 75,000 transactions every day.
