The financial results for the half-year that ended on June 30, 2026, were released by Invest Bank (INB) on Friday. The bank reported consistent profitability growth, which was bolstered by increased net interest margins, strong fee-income momentum, and ongoing balance-sheet development across its primary business sectors. Profit before taxes was Dhs80.5 million, a 61% annual increase. With a second-quarter profit before tax of Dhs58.0 million, rising 159% from the first quarter, the bank’s momentum kept growing. With total assets reaching Dhs16.1 billion, a 27% year-over-year gain (+14% YTD), the bank continues to expand its balance sheet during the quarter, moving closer to its biggest balance sheet since its founding. While net loans and advances rose to Dhs8.8 billion, up 49% year over year (+22% YTD), customer deposits expanded to Dhs13.3 billion, up 30% year over year (+17% YTD).
Net interest margin climbed to 2.2% from 1.3% in the same quarter previous year, while net interest income rose by 111% year over year to Dhs164.1 million. Foreign exchange revenue was a major factor in the 40% year-over-year increase in non-interest income to Dhs94.7 million, which was fueled by core business growth, especially increased balance sheet volumes. The bank’s expansion was wide-ranging, with ongoing customer base diversification to boost its retail banking operations in addition to its well-established wholesale banking franchise. Retail CASA balances reached 46% of retail deposits, up from 35% at the end of 2025, indicating ongoing consumer confidence in the bank’s expanding digital capabilities, while the retail loan book crossed the Dhs1 billion threshold for the first time, finishing at Dhs1.1 billion (+73% YTD). The bank’s diverse development across segments is highlighted by the Dhs1.2 billion (+18% YTD) growth in core wholesale banking loans and the Dhs1.1 billion (+13% YTD) growth in deposits.
