Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, boarded a passenger train from Abu Dhabi’s Mohamed Bin Zayed City Station to Fujairah Station, just days after the UAE’s scheduled passenger rail services began.
It is a watershed moment in the transportation industry, embodying the wise leadership’s aim of constructing world-class infrastructure that improves people’s quality of life. He was accompanied on his journey by Abdullah Sultan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice. Shadi Malak, CEO of Etihad Rail, met them on board the train.
During the ride, Sheikh Nahyan met a number of Emirati citizens working on the train and received an overview of the operational system and passenger services. He also witnessed firsthand the features and services offered to passengers, which have been created in accordance with the highest worldwide standards to ensure a safe, modern, and comfortable travel experience.
The visit included a tour of Mohamed Bin Zayed City Station and Fujairah Station, where he examined the stations’ operational facilities, smart passenger services, and station management and operation procedures.
