The Mohamed Bin Zayed City Passenger Train Station in Abu Dhabi was inaugurated by Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. He also witnessed the unveiling of the UAE passenger rail network, which is scheduled to begin service on September 30, 2026.Sheikh Khaled saw the station’s main facilities and amenities, as well as reviewed its information management systems and operational readiness procedures.

He was also briefed on the station’s advanced infrastructure, future capacity expansion plans, measures to improve passenger flow during peak hours, and smart solutions and customer service offerings designed to achieve the highest levels of operational efficiency and service excellence. Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated that the passenger train project reflects the UAE’s vision for a fully integrated transportation network that improves inter-emirate connectivity, supports long-term growth through efficient movement of people and goods, and opens up new opportunities for investment, tourism, and urban development.

Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and guests attended the inauguration of the Mohamed Bin Zayed City Passenger Train Station in Abu Dhabi. He emphasized that the project is a strategic investment that promotes the 50 Projects by providing world-class infrastructure, while also increasing the UAE’s overall development path and strengthening its long-term competitiveness and global status.
