The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) reaffirmed its commitment to private-sector growth, citing the launch of the integrated logistics corridor, which connects the emirate’s ports to ports in Oman via land border crossings, as a key driver of regional trade and competitiveness.
SCCI stated that the project is intended to improve trade flows, extend logistical alternatives for businesses, and strengthen regional supply chain efficiency, and that it will continue to assist enterprises in realizing the benefits of this advanced logistics system.
The remarks were delivered during the Sharjah Chamber’s regular meeting at its offices, which was presided over by SCCI Chairman Abdallah Sultan Al Owais. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of SCCI, and Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI, as well as members of the Board of Directors. Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, was also present, along with key executives from the Chamber’s departments and connected businesses.
The discussion included a detailed presentation of the Sharjah Chamber’s strategic initiatives and important achievements from 2023 until the end of the first half of 2026. The presentation highlighted SCCI’s progress in key areas, including enhancing the business ecosystem and strengthening private-sector support.
