As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering social solidarity and bolstering the values of community responsibility, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai renewed its “Bus of Goodness” humanitarian initiative during Holy Month in partnership with Beit Al Khair Society and Dubai Charity Association. The project reflects the Ramadan spirit of generosity and compassion that permeates the UAE community and acknowledges the critical role the workforce plays in Dubai’s development.
Iftar meals are distributed by teams of staff members and volunteers from the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai throughout the emirate’s worker communities, which are concentrated in locations like Jebel Ali, Al Quoz, Dubai Investment Park (DIP), and Muhaisnah.
In an effort to reach as many workers as possible, the program has successfully provided 135,000 Iftar meals to workers in various locations throughout Dubai thus far this year, spreading joy and upholding the ideals of solidarity and community harmony. He pointed out that the Holy Month of Ramadan is a significant opportunity to uphold the virtues of compassion and kindness in society.
