Sharjah Charity conducts regular meetings

Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched its Ramadan campaign “Jood 2026,” with plans to spend Dhs150 million on a wide range of charitable projects during the holy month. The initiative focuses on providing iftar meals, supporting vulnerable families, and funding humanitarian programmes in the UAE and abroad. As part of the launch, SCI also unveiled a new mobile application designed to improve services for donors and beneficiaries through modern digital solutions.

The campaign was announced during a press conference held at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah. The event was attended by Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Charity International, and Sheikh Saud Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, along with board members, senior officials, and representatives from local media.

Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, a member of SCI’s Board of Directors, said the launch of the smart application reflects the organisation’s commitment to technological advancement and transparency in charitable work. He highlighted that the app offers an improved user experience, with easy access to projects, fast service, and a clear donation process. One of its key features is an AI-powered smart assistant that helps users quickly access information and interact smoothly with the platform. The application was fully developed by SCI’s in-house IT team, showcasing the organisation’s growing technical capabilities.
