
During an official ceremony on the island of Anjouan, Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of the Comoros, Jumaa Rashed Al Remeithi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Comoros, and other high-ranking officials attended the launch of a new passenger ferry service in the Comoros island archipelago in East Africa, the first to also transport vehicles.
Serdal International, a joint venture between AD Ports Group and Resources Investment, an Abu Dhabi-based investment firm that specializes in strategic, significant investments across a range of industries in both established and growing markets, launched the service.
This accomplishment is a component of Serdal International’s mission to promote marine commerce and grow business ventures in developing nations, with an emphasis on Africa. In accordance with the directives of our wise leadership, we are happy to introduce a safe, dependable public water transportation to the Comoros, harnessing the potential of this island network to support community development and drive economic growth,” stated Abdulaziz Zayed Al Shamsi, Chief Executive Officer of Serdal International.
The ferry service, run by Noatum Maritime of the AD Ports Group, is intended to improve inter-island connection and offer the residents of the Comoros safe, dependable, and reasonably priced transportation while expanding their access to markets, healthcare, education, and tourism possibilities.
