With its ongoing relief efforts in Gaza, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to humanitarian work as the world observes World Humanitarian Day on August 19.
The UAE has led the way in aiding the Palestinian people through a number of programs under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” demonstrating the country’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes.
The United Arab Emirates has sent four relief ships with 18,530 tonnes of various aid, including food, water, clothing, medical supplies, and shelter materials, over the course of the last 288 days. In addition, 104 convoys carrying 19,819 tonnes of aid and 257 aircraft carrying 5,340 tonnes of aid have been dispatched to assist the displaced populace.
By assisting hospitals and providing medical care for the injured, the nation has also strengthened Gaza’s healthcare system. This includes the provision of vital medical care at the UAE field hospital in Rafah and the Floating Hospital in Al Arish, Egypt. Additionally, 400 tonnes of medical supplies, including prosthetic limbs and cutting-edge equipment, have been delivered by the operation to hospitals and international organisations.
