
The moon sighting committee will make the official Eid Al Fitr prayer timings public on Saturday, March 29, as the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close. Typically, Eid prayers take place 15 to 20 minutes after sunrise.
The public and media will be informed of the official prayer times on Saturday, Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, executive director of the Charitable Work Sector and general coordinator of Ramadan Initiatives in Dubai, revealed to Khaleej Times.
Dubai-based scholar Sheikh Ayaz Housee, Imam at NGS and Khateeb at Al Manar Centre, revealed a prayer time that indicates Eid prayers in Dubai are anticipated to start at 6.20am, even though the official notification is still pending.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has declared that over 680 mosques and prayer halls in Dubai are prepared to hold Eid prayers in advance of Eid Al Fitr. This includes 668 smaller mosques located in residential neighbourhoods and 14 major prayer places in strategic locations to ensure improved accessibility and lessen crowding.
According to the department’s director-general, Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, special teams have developed a comprehensive plan in collaboration with government agencies and volunteers.
