UAE and Egypt Fortify their Economic Relations in Important Areas

Lieutenant General Kamel El Wazir, the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Transport, and Dr. Rania Al Mashat, the Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, met bilaterally with Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy.

Strengthening the UAE-Egypt economic partnership in infrastructure, entrepreneurship, new economy, transportation, circular economy, agriculture, and industry were among the areas of focus of the discussion.

As Bin Touq attended the 114th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council, a meeting was held on the sidelines. The United Arab Emirates chaired the council meeting, which took place at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States’ headquarters in Cairo.

Given that it is the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Egypt’s history, he emphasised that the recently signed partnership agreement between the two nations for the Ras Al Hikma development project is a critical milestone in growing economic ties and fostering mutual investment flows.

During their meeting, Bin Touq and Al Wazir discussed ways to improve cooperation on many projects involving both countries’ industrial sectors, logistics hubs, and infrastructure.
