The US Cautions Israel not to Devastate Lebanon the Way Gaza did.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Lebanon might be “destruction” like the Palestinian area, prompting the United States to encourage its partner Israel to refrain from taking military action similar to that of Gaza.

In an operation that has killed nearly 1,200 Hezbollah targets since September 23, Israel’s military leader, Herzi Halevi, promised to continue attacking them “without allowing them any respite or recovery.”

The remarks followed the first phone conversation between US President Joe Biden and Netanyahu in seven weeks. Biden instructed Netanyahu, according to the White House, to “minimise harm” to people in Lebanon, especially in “densely populated areas of Beirut.”

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated, “There should be no military action in Lebanon that resembles Gaza in appearance or outcome.

Speaking to the people of Lebanon via video on Tuesday, Netanyahu stated: “You have an opportunity to save Lebanon before it falls into the abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza.”

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant declared: “We will launch a lethal, accurate, and unexpected attack on Iran. They won’t comprehend what took place or how it occurred.

Biden has opposed attacking oil sites and warned Israel against trying to target Iran’s nuclear facilities, which would result in severe reprisal. On September 27, the day Israel killed Nasrallah, Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire with Israel, a Lebanese government source told AFP.
