The Syrian Business Council strongly condemns the violence and vandalism against the UAE embassy in Damascus. The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors and Honorary Committee of the Syrian Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates condemned the activities, describing them as “perpetrated by a small group of outlaws linked to the Iranian regime.
The group was largely made up of “non-Syrian elements. In a statement issued on Monday, April 6, the council said: “While we affirm that these heinous acts constitute a flagrant violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions, we demand that the Syrian government’s competent authorities conduct an immediate investigation, reveal the identities of those involved, hold them accountable, and bring them to justice in accordance with legal procedures.
The council emphasized that the UAE has been and continues to be a model for accepting Syrian sons, having welcomed hundreds of thousands of them and providing them with a dignified, safe environment in which to participate in the process of growth and prosperity.
