Through the United Arab Emirates Aid Agency, the United Arab Emirates has provided immediate relief assistance to individuals who have been impacted by the recent flooding of the Euphrates river in Syria. This aid was provided in response to directions issued by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As part of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) worldwide commitment and humanitarian obligation towards populations affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises, this move has been completed. Essential relief supplies and basic shelter materials for men, women, and children are being delivered by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of the ongoing effort to provide urgent assistance to individuals who have been impacted.
The emphasis that the government of the United Arab Emirates places on providing immediate relief assistance to nations that have been impacted by natural disasters or major humanitarian emergencies was emphasized by Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the United Arab Emirates National Aid Agency. He highlighted that this strategy is derived from the eternal heritage of the Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his principles of generosity, solidarity, providing aid, and working together for the benefit of humanity.
