Ambulances

The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), has gifted Syria with 10 state-of-the-art ambulances, as part of Operation ‘Gallant Knight 2’ and the ongoing efforts of the UAE to help the Syrian people hit by a recent earthquake.

doctor Salem Al Falasi, who is in charge of monitoring the needs of the health sector in Syria, said that the initiative is a continuation of the UAE’s humanitarian support to the Syrian people. Ambulances equipped for rough terrain will provide medical services to those affected by the earthquake, as the aid will continue to meet their basic humanitarian needs. He further emphasized that the UAE continues to support Syria’s health sector, as part of Operation ‘Gallant Knight 2’, to identify and address the needs of hospitals and health authorities.

In turn, Dr. Samer Ahmed, director of the Department of Health in Latakia, commended the UAE’s continued efforts to support the health sector in Syria by providing state-of-the-art ambulances, which make it easier for medical personnel to carry out their duties.
