The strategic connection between the United States and the United Arab Emirates has been strengthened with the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump. The visit demonstrates the mutual dedication to strengthening established business relationships and looking into new joint venture prospects.

Economy Minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri echoed these remarks, saying the visit reflects the UAE’s leadership’s goal of fostering economic openness and fortifying cooperation bridges. The UAE and the United States share longstanding and significant ties built on friendship and mutual understanding,” added Trump. “The UAE’s standing as an important international economic centre is strengthened by this visit, which also helps to promote sustained social and economic development.

There is evidence of a close economic relationship between the two countries. As noted by Al Marri, by the end of 2024, there will be over 66,000 US trademarks in the UAE, and almost 13,000 American businesses will trade there. Concurrently, over 115 Emirati businesses are active in the United States in various industries, such as healthcare, e-commerce, tourism, aviation, hospitality, technology, and artificial intelligence.

The significance of the United States as a major trading partner was emphasised by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who also highlighted the continuous efforts to take the partnership to new levels of development and prosperity.
