October will see Emirates Receive its first Airbus A350 aAircraft

With five Airbus planes scheduled to be delivered to the airline by the end of this year, Emirates is scheduled to receive its first A350 aircraft in October.

Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer of Emirates Airline Adel Alredha stated on the fringes of the inaugural Dubai AI and Web3 Festival that the airline will receive five Airbus planes by the end of December this year, but has not yet received any Boeing aircraft.

As a result of aircraft delivery delays, he continued, “we have had to extend the service of some of our current aircraft.”Alredha also mentioned the company’s aircraft modernisation program and Emirates’ dedication to offering the greatest customer experience. She said that the program covers 190 aircraft, with a plan that costs more than $3 billion covering an increase in the number of aircraft targeted for modernisation.

Alredha clarified that the delivery issues have been there for years because the COVID-19 pandemic forced many aircraft manufacturing companies to reduce production or lay off a portion of their workforce. Consequently, he went on, these companies could not effectively reorganise their operations and meet the high demand for air travel that followed the end of the pandemic.
