During her visit to the exhibition on Wednesday, Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), emphasised the extensive influence of Gitex Global as a driving force for global partnerships in the technology sector.
In its 44th year, Gitex Global, which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from October 14–18, has broken previous records for worldwide participation. More than 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 companies, 1,200 investors, and governments from more than 180 nations have gathered globally at the biggest and most acclaimed innovation show.
Sheikha Latifa emphasised the importance of cross-continental cooperation as digital change takes place at a never-before-seen pace and scale. Gitex Global 2024 was confirmed as the largest-ever international edition.
“It is essential for nations to collaborate and cooperate in a constructive and mutually beneficial manner that cuts across geographical boundaries as they work to accelerate tangible progress while pursuing digital socio-economic sustainability,” she said. Humanity may thrive in ways that previous generations could never have predicted if the most innovative businesses and startups, together with the most brilliant brains and exceptionally creative skills, collaborate. For this reason, on its 44th anniversary, Gitex Global is more important than ever.
