The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed its commitment to increasing access to high-quality education and empowering children and youth worldwide by contributing $5 million to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The donation will help the Fund enhance educational possibilities by supporting programs that give kids the knowledge and skills they need to succeed while fostering international cooperation to remove obstacles to education.

The UAE’s donation is a reflection of its long-standing dedication to funding human development and fostering global alliances that generate equitable and sustainable opportunities for coming generations. An multinational advocacy group called Global Citizen seeks to eradicate extreme poverty. It encourages governments, corporations, philanthropies, artists, and individuals to take up causes including gender equality, food security, health, education, and climate change.

In order to get financing and policy commitments for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it is most well-known for planning massive lobbying campaigns and international events like the Global Citizen Festival. A collaborative effort between FIFA and Global Citizen, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund seeks to increase access to high-quality education globally, especially for underprivileged and vulnerable youth. Through grants and collaborations with local organizations, the Fund promotes educational initiatives that use football as a platform to spur international action.
