In Kampala, the capital of Uganda, 308 business meetings between companies from Dubai and Uganda have been organized by Dubai International Chamber (DIC), one of the three chambers that operate under the Dubai Chambers umbrella.
The conversations took place during the first leg of the chamber’s trade trip to Tanzania and Uganda, which is part of the “New Horizons” initiative, which supports local businesses’ entry into attractive international markets.
As part of the mission, the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Uganda Investment Authority, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kampala, the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the United Arab Emirates, and the chamber organized a business forum in Kampala called “Doing Business with Uganda.
In a private discussion with the Dubai International Chamber team on the fringes of the Forum, Prime Minister Rt. Robinah Nabbanja of the Republic of Uganda emphasized the value of the trade mission in strengthening commercial partnerships and economic ties. She commended the chamber’s efforts to improve investment and trade between the two countries.
