DMCC Establishes an AI Centre to Advance AI Globally

The DMCC AI Centre has been launched as Dubai’s newest innovation platform to promote pragmatic artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and the development of real-life use cases to scale throughout the MENA region. DMCC is the free zone and the Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise.

DMCC spokespersons explained the new centre’s range of services and special benefits to over 60 invited guests during the launch event. These guests included ambassadors, government ministers, AI companies, and other industry stakeholders. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), and Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, Chief AI Officer of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), were also among the attendees.

Through the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, Dubai and the UAE are committed to becoming global leaders in AI by 2031, as highlighted by Khalfan Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Future Foundation.

He emphasised that the DMCC AI Centre’s opening was critical to accomplishing this objective. It created an atmosphere that draws in new business, promotes creativity, and confirms Dubai’s standing as a significant hub for AI and emerging technologies worldwide.
