The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) wants to improve key roads in Musaffah. This will make it easier to get from the industrial area to Mohamed Bin Zayed City and Zayed City. The project runs for about 13 kilometres along E30 and 8th Street in Musaffah. Its goal is to reduce traffic, make trips safer, and shorten travel times generally.

A new highway with three lanes in each direction running along 8th Street is an important part of the Musaffah projects. It will have three extra lanes added to each side to make it easier to get to shops and other services in the area without getting in the way of traffic on the motorway. All together, the street will be able to handle about 4,000 cars per hour.

Along E30, improvements are also being made to four interchanges, links to 8th Street and E20 will be made better, and nine key junctions will be changed. There are also plans for three new bridges: one for pedestrians, two for cars, and one connecting Musaffah to Mohamed Bin Zayed City.

DMT Infrastructure Development Director General Eisa Mubarak Al Mazrouei said, “Musaffah’s road network helps people get to work, businesses move goods, and people make short trips throughout the day.” To keep the area growing, it’s important to plan for all of these different needs. We can support the economy and make daily trips easier and safer by separating through-traffic from local access and improving connections with nearby communities.
