Strong Tea Cafeteria, located at Mohamed Bin Zayed City, 12 East in Abu Dhabi, with trade license number CN-2528217, was administratively closed by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) for violating law no. 2 for 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the regulations issued thereunder and endangering the public’s health.
According to the food control report, the cafeteria’s repeated extremely dangerous infractions, failure to comply with ADAFSA-additional health and food safety regulations, and failure to implement corrective measures led to the administrative closure decision.
According to the ADAFSA, the cafeteria has already received three penalties and a threat of administrative closure for issues relating to the development of insects and pests within the establishment and a disregard for hygiene.
The ADAFSA stated that the administrative closure order would be in place until the cafeteria met all standards for safe and wholesome meals.
Noting that all facilities, regardless of their nature and food products, are subject to routine inspection, the ADAFSA stated that the closure and discovery of the observed violations came as part of the inspection efforts intended to strengthen the food safety system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ensure that all facilities adhere to food safety requirements.
