In cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and as part of its continuous humanitarian efforts, the UAE has sent a fresh shipment of vital medications and medical supplies to WHO warehouses, ready for delivery to hospitals throughout the Gaza Strip. This assistance coincides with the current blockade’s catastrophic impact on the healthcare system.

About 65 tons of different medications were transported by 11 trucks in the consignment, which was turned over today. These include life-saving medications and emergency medical supplies made to meet the urgent requirements of medical institutions in the Strip.

WHO officials hailed the UAE as one of the leading backers of Gaza’s medical community. They emphasized how critical it is to support global initiatives in order to provide the Strip with immediate help.

The organisation emphasised that the assistance will immediately help alleviate the critical shortage of medications and improve hospitals’ and healthcare facilities’ ability to meet the growing demand for medical treatment.

Under the auspices of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE is still offering Gaza multi-sectoral assistance, including in the areas of food, shelter, healthcare, and education, reiterating its unwavering humanitarian commitment to the Palestinian people.
