An AI-powered training robot created by engineers at Don State Technical University in Russia is intended to assist professional and amateur athletes in enhancing their performance and lowering their risk of injury when working out.
The robot provides intelligent, individualized monitoring to ensure safe and efficient workout execution, addressing a dearth of skilled trainers at educational institutions, according to the university’s press office.
The robot can warn athletes about potentially dangerous activities since it is outfitted with video cameras that track their movements. Additionally, it develops customized training programs for every user based on their requirements. The robot is appropriate for runners of all skill levels, including marathoners, because it weighs only 5 kg and can travel up to 25 km/h.
A smartphone software that monitors performance and precisely gauges endurance levels controls the robot, allowing users to execute safe, effective exercises that complement their own fitness objectives.
The university’s press office claims that the robot provides intelligent, individualized monitoring to guarantee safe and efficient workout execution, hence addressing the lack of certified trainers at educational institutions.
