His Majesty Sharjah’s ruler and Supreme Council member, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, was present at the Saba Sanabel “Seven Spikes” wheat harvest ceremony in Mleiha on Wednesday for the third season.

High-quality production was demonstrated by the wheat’s 19.3% protein level this season. Sheikh Sultan formally unveiled a range of new organic items manufactured from “Saba Sanabel” flour during his tour of the event space before the ceremony. A wide variety of pasta, “ballet” vermicelli, croissants, cakes, cookies, semolina, and traditional Arabic bread are among the newly launched products.

Sheikh Sultan met with Emirati farmers, who, in compliance with his orders, received equipment and seeds from the Sharjah Agriculture and Livestock Department. 559 farmers benefited from the 25 tonnes of quality wheat seeds given out as part of the Sharjah Ruler’s award for farmers this season.

Sheikh Sultan examined the cutting-edge harvesting techniques used in the third wheat growing season while he was there. The third season harvest at the wheat farm officially began when the Ruler of Sharjah and the guests observed the wheat harvesting procedure. Advanced gear was used in the harvesting process, including three specialised machines: one for collecting straw, one for compressing it into bales, and one for sorting grains from straw.
