The vice president of the United Arab Emirates revealed the bureaucracy elimination initiative’s rankings of the nation’s top and worst government agencies on Sunday. Following the start of the bureaucracy elimination and reduction campaign at the end of 2023, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai, listed these institutions based on their performance over the previous year.
In a social media post, the Dubai Ruler stated, “We started an assessment to gauge these entities’ responsiveness, guaranteeing better services, increased efficiency, and an easier life for people. Because they had “excelled in their efforts to combat bureaucracy,” the Ruler named the Department of Justice, the Department of State, and the Department of Energy and Infrastructure as the top three departments.
Sheikh Mohammed praised these organisations as the “top performers” and thanked them. In the meantime, the Ministry of Sports, the Pensions Authority, and the Emirates Post were named the three organisations that did the worst job of reducing bureaucracy.
And to those who have not put in enough effort… Bold and swift decisions in just a few days can change the bad systems created by government bureaucracy over the years,” the leader said in an attempt to guide these groups. This is true for the officials and others engaged as well.
