The seminar “Enhancing Academic Excellence, Quality Assurance, and International Accreditation in Higher Education” was held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Academy’s British campus in University City by the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) and the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), in partnership with the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency.
In her opening remarks, Khawla Al Hosani, the vice chancellor of Sharjah Education Academy, welcomed the participants and conveyed her gratitude for their efforts to foster an academic atmosphere. To help realise Sharjah’s aim as a premier educational destination in the region and beyond, she stressed the significance of fostering academic excellence and quality standards.
Focussing on the role of leadership in establishing a distinguished educational environment, she also emphasised the need of teamwork in fostering innovation and maintaining educational quality.
By recognising the most recent global trends and standards, the seminar seeks to raise the calibre of education at universities. It focusses on creating educational outcomes and making sure that students have clear career paths, which helps to effectively prepare them for their future employment. It also aims to investigate the most effective means by which academic institutions can raise the standard of instruction and guarantee that their curricula meet employment demands. Prof. Mohammed Bani Yas, SPEA’s Advisor for Higher Education Affairs, stated.
