Thanks to its astute leadership and forward-thinking vision that prioritizes human development as the cornerstone and major objective of growth, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has continued to rise in global competitiveness reports in 2024, gaining top positions in important indices.
The UAE was in the top five worldwide in 444 indicators, up from 406 in 2023, and placed first globally in 223 indicators, up from 215 in 2023. Additionally, it placed in the top 10 worldwide in 661 indicators, up from 604 in 2023 and 508 in 2022.
The UAE’s progress can be directly attributed to continuous efforts to modernize the legal system, the introduction of proactive measures to support investment and the economy, the rule of law, the use of cutting-edge technology, and the growth of numerous industries to improve the standard of living for all residents and citizens.
After making it into the top 10 nations in the survey last year, the UAE moved up three spots to seventh place internationally in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2024.
The UAE ranked second globally in economic performance, fourth in government efficiency, and tenth in business environment efficiency, demonstrating exceptional performance across all report aspects.
